Love is Power

“Love is the real power. It’s the energy that cherishes. The more you work with that energy the more you will see how people respond naturally to it, and the more you will want to use it. It brings out your creativity and helps everyone around you flower. Your children, the people you work with — everyone blooms.”

This is a quote from Marion Woodman in the article “31 Ways of Looking at Power” in the September 2009 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine.

I came across this passage when I was feeling powerless and angry after someone slashed one of my car tires. I thought that this was a good reminder that wallowing in anger and thoughts of “Why Me?” is not constructive. Perhaps each one of us needs this reminder from time to time.

A few weeks ago my husband and I took a walk around part of the lake in Kensington Metropark, located in Milford and Brighton Michigan. This is my favorite picture of the few that I took. If you’d like to see more serene pictures of this wonderful park, please click on the Travelogue tab above.

Just as my life is a continual work in progress so too is this website about my life.

With the Kensington pictures I strayed from my usual travelogue format. I’m still getting the hang of this new-for-me Windows Media Player technology, so this may not be my best work. But I’m learning…
